Ugandan artiste Desire Luzinda started a huge online debate questioning why gospel artistes in Uganda are not holding any online concerts like it has become the norm.

In her argument, she accused pastors and churches for not offering support to these artistes, especially during this time of crisis.

Weighing in on the debate, popular gospel artiste Levixone has agreed with Luzinda, further blaming the church for not supporting gospel artists for these concerts.

"My prayer is we get big companies to sponsor us. Sometimes we only need a recommendation from a pastor to get these deals because they are respected. Instead of running to sponsors, our pastors should help us because God has blessed them. We give God the glory for the blessings but they need to love and care for us," he said.

Regarding why he requests for money before making appearances in churches, Levixone noted that he has bills that he must pay.

"It is not bad to ask for money because we have to pay for studio, rent, we have people we take care of at home. You can't cover all that without money. That is why it is good for these pastors to pay gospel artistes because we also have needs. We need money for videos, paying the people we work with, the people who cover our performances and it is biblical to bless other people," Levixone divulged.

He assured his fans that regardless of what happens now or the near future, he will not shift to the secular world despite the lack of support.

"I call upon my fellow gospel artistes not to change because all these are tests. It should show us to stick on God. Do not give up on the gospel because we know our final destination," Levixone said.
