Babalevo Explains Why He is Yet to Release New Music

For a while now, Tanzanian music star Babalevo has been silent with no new projects, raising questions from his fans regarding when he’ll be releasing a new song.
Following numerous questions from his fans, Babalevo has come out to explain why he has been slow in producing new music.
In a post on his Instagram page, the rapper claimed there is someone out to destroy his music, but did not mention any names.
“Wakati mi Nahangaika Kuhakikisha Nakaa vyema kwenye Sanaa Yangu.... Nakaa vyema Na mashabiki wangu... Bado kuna watu Wanatumia Nguvu kubwa Kunikwamisha Na kuhakikisha sifanikiwi kwa chochote...Chuki... chuki... chukii.. Upumbavu ..... upumbavu.... upumbavuuu...!! Naamini Mwenyezi Mungu Atanivusha salama kwenye Hili pia.. #NB NIMESHINDWA KUACHIA WIMBO WANGU MPYA WIKI HII KWA SABABU YAPUUUZI WA MTU MMOJA TU.. NAAMINI NEXT WEEK KABLA YA IJUMAA WIMBO WANGU MPYA UTAKUWA MTAANI...” he posted.
His last song was 'High na Low' which performed really well with over 150,000 views on YouTube.
Babalevo is one of the many rappers in Tanzania working to popularize Swahili rap which is slowly gaining traction in the region.
Meanwhile, the Tanzanian rap industry has been a key issue of discussion on social media after popular rappers; Nikki Mbishi and Wakazi reignited their beef.
