New rappers keep coming up and it is always a joy to watch rappers already established putting them on. This is the case with 21 Savage’s new single ‘Pressure’ in which he is featured by Real Recognizes Rio.
‘Pressure’ is a single about trying to be good but being constantly met by people who cross you and there is the whole pressure that you might need to step out of yourself to protect yourself. This in the end is what results to black on black crime and more black people in the system (also as an interpretation of the video).
‘Pressure’ is put a trap beat that is well paced with a balance between a medium-paced beat and a fast-paced delivery. Both Real Recognizes Rio and 21 Savage deliver their verses with a great mastery of what comes after what which makes their delivery sound quite fast. This is quite strong for Real Recognizes Rio and he definitely is about to blow up. In this song, we also experience a 21 Savage growing into a seasoned rapper; he gets better song after song.
The video is really a translation of the audio. We watch a well- played video from the end then from beginning to end. It takes us through someone crossing Real and Real resulting to violence which ends up not so good for both parties.
