Yemi Alade Asks Government to Provide Mobile Testing Kits for Nigerians

Award-winning Nigerian Singer Yemi Alade has asked the Government to set aside funds that would help provide mobile testing kits for its citizens.
In a post on his social media pages on Monday, Yemi Alade shared a video of a crowd in Lagos, Nigeria and called for proper preventive measures to be put in place.
According to the singer whose recent hit single 'Shekere' has been performing well since it was released in February, there is also need to ensure sanitizers, masks and soap are used everywhere in a public place.
"This Is Lagos! These people have needs! Please can we provide mobile testing kits for the average Nigerian? Everybody isn't on Social Media!" read part of Yemi Alade's post on her official Instagram account.
"Can we allocate funds to this cause !? Can we ensure face masks ,hand sanitizers, water and soap are used EVERYWHERE AND EVERYTIME ANYONE IS IN A PUBLIC PLACE. Can we protect ourselves from this deadly virus?" she added.

Things have started to go back to normal in Lagos after the Governmennt approved a gradual easing of lockdown.
Last week, Nigerian President Muhamadu Buhari approved easing of the lockdown restrictions in Abuja, Lagos and Ogun States.
The highly populated West African Country with over 200 million population has been on lockdown for the past 35 days.
Musicians and other public figures in the country have joined efforts to help curb the spread of the virus.
Some of those who have offered help to the vulnerable is Mr Eazi who committed to providing at least 3,300 meals to the needy in Lagos.
Davido also offered to donate proceeds from his recently released 'D&G' video to support research on Covid-19.
Nigerian music icon 2Baba onnhe other hand pledged to donate N10 million to help in the fight against the pandemic.

International, Burna Boy participated in an online concert dubbed 'One World: Together at Home' organised by Global Citizen and curated by singer Lady Gaga, in support of the World Health Organization that saw over $128 million raised for health workers in the Covid-19 pandemic.
