Doja Cat has been getting a lot of buzz, especially for her single ‘Say So’ from her debut studio album. She has gone to spice up the single a little more with a remix of the single in which she features female rapper, Nicki Minaj.
‘Say So’ is a song about being in a relationship with someone who does not speak out on what is really going on with them in the context of the relationship.
‘Say So’ is a fusion of rap and disco pop music; the instrumentation gives that disco vibe which Doja Cat very well plays with to sing the chorus to the song.
Both Doja Cat and Nicki Minaj are two highly acclaimed rappers who have been topping the charts hit after hit. Nicki Minaj opens up the song with an auto-tuned intro. She delivers bar over bar with great lyricism and delivery. Doja Cat maintains the second verse from the original version of the song. Nicki Minaj does the outro of the song with some shade, allegedly thrown at Wendy Williams.
