Reposted from @filippograndi Big thanks to #UNHCR committed goodwill ambassadors and high profile supporters around the world - including former refugees - for joining @kellytallmanclements and me via Zoom to discuss how we can help protect vulnerable communities and especially #refugees and those hosting them against the #coronavirus pandemic and its consequences. ⠀
We count on your solidarity and action. I am inspired and grateful!"
Over the last couple of months we have seen many amazing ways people have come together to form a global response to this pandemic COVID19. "Social distancing doesn't mean leaving them behind, Self-isolation doesn't mean giving up, Staying home will not make us forget those forced to flee home" This is the message on the UNHCR Africa in response to the pandemic and how it affects the refugees.
Right now, millions of refugees are observing #Ramadan with more hardships than ever due to the deepening poverty, limited access to water and sanitation, and overall health risks caused by COVID-19.
In our different ways we can remember those who are less privileged however much we can.
