Mercy Masika Releases New Album 'Zaidi' With Still Alive

I don’t know what you were up to over the weekend but great things were happening on social media courtesy of Mercy Masika. She gifted us with an album launch live on her Instagram and dropped the album right after the live,
Mercy Masika’s album is titled ‘Zaidi’. ‘Zaidi’ is a culmination of Mercy Masika as a worship leader. The album is a fusion of ballads and medium-paced worship songs. Mercy Masika is a powerful worship leader and her voice is well created for this as it is vast and with a beautiful range.
The 11 single project was done by Mercy Masika in conjunction with Still Alive studios. Still Alive has been releasing Mercy Masika’s music for a while and this is a seamless collaboration between the two parties.
The singles in the album are well curated ballads and worship songs. They are done in English, Kamba and Swahili. The album has very few collaborations for example with Mireille Basirwa for the single ‘Low Level is Over’.
The arrangement of the whole album involves a lot guitar feels, heavy instrument layering and vocal harmonies with both Mercy masika and other vocalists’ vocals.
