We are always told to prepare in advance; gather enough supplies and save some money to sustain ourselves and our family for when hard times come by, an advice most people tend to ignore.

We are currently in lock down due to the outbreak of the corona virus, businesses are closed, and most people are not making any money.

Ugandan artistes are currently bothered because they are not performing anywhere and most of them have come out to cry to the government for financial support.

Basing on this, many are wondering why artistes asking for money never saved up during their prime time when they were fully booked and collecting money from these shows.

Rabadaba; one of the Ugandan artistes that has not been too affected by the pandemic, called out fellow musicians and advised them to adopt a saving culture.

The 'Bwekiri’ hit maker made the statement while donating 60 bags of maize flour and beans to the National Task Force handling COVID19 food relief for vulnerable Ugandans.

"This should be a wakeup call, that things happen and you have to be able to manage the challenges. If some artists were not saving, they have learnt a lesson,"Rabadaba said.

He further advised them to invest into some other business besides music.

"They should not stop at saving alone, they should learn how to diversify and get something else to do besides music. For example right now, where will you perform? You are not even sure when concerts will be given a go ahead. When will you stop begging? Therefore, diversity is the way forward. They should invest the money from music somewhere else," he opined.
