HURU means FREE in Swahili a language commonly spoken in East Africa. This song is inspired by Zechariah 4:6 from the bible about the battles we face on a daily basis and in seasons "Its not by might nor by power but by my spirit" Says the lord of hosts. Prayer through the holyspirit is our supernatural weapon in this battles.

John Muendo Musau [Born 17 November 1989] professionally known as JAY GENERAL is a Kenyan song writer,singer and an entrepreneur.

He started recording at the age of 20 under S-BAR records BIZI B.He managed to work with "J BLESSING,CHILLI INC RECORDS[PILIPILI,REINA,CABASSA,KIZO B] and LAMPSTAND RECORDS ceo RUFFTONE.In 2015 he rose to prominence after his single "ABBA" release and GROOVE AWARDS nomination REGGAE/DANCEHALL category."SO FRESH","PROVIDER"and "KAWIMBO" collaborations with his elder brother SIMBO OWADE are among his first records.His writing skills have boosted his career further earning him songwriting deals for HOPEKID on songs like "LIVE UP" and "PERFECT" among others.Jay has also served his DANCEHALL music writing skills on IYVLYN MUTUA's "BROWN SKIN GIRL COVER" verse originally by BEYONCE.In 2019 he released his debut singles "YAHWEH"produced by SIMBA SOUNDS RECORDS/ALEXIS ON THE BEAT and VICKY PON DIS,"VICTORY" produced by SHEDDY MUSIC and "EBENEZER" produced by DOCTA J and DWEENO GMKM production KINGSTON JAMAICA.
