Tracee Ellis Ross was born of royalty; being the daughter of the legendary discos diva Diana Ross. She has however spoken about her fear of singing in public and how she has had to work so hard to overcome it for her upcoming role in the comedy-drama musical, ‘The High Note’.
The High Note takes us through the journey of an LA artist Grace Davis (Tracee Ellis Ross) and her overworked assistant Maggie (Dakota Johnson) who is an aspiring music producer. Both Grace and Maggie’s paths take a turn when Grace’s manager (Ice Cube) provides them with an opportunity.
With the trailer, we watch Tracee channel her mother by hitting the high notes alright on stage and dancing as well. It is always gracious and beautiful to watch Ice Cube in film and especially in this film, we watch him contributing a little more to the world of music.
The movie is set to release on the 8th of May, hopefully rona will be well controlled by then. We cannot wait to watch Tracee sing on stage for the media tours and maybe award shows and even after the showing and tours. In the meantime, see how you like ‘The High Note’ with the trailer.
