The Weeknd Releases New Single and Video 'In Your Eyes' Off of His New Album

The Weeknd just released his ‘After Hours’ album before the weekend and he has been giving us snippets into it with a few singles such ‘Blinding Lights’. He has now released a new single and video off the album dubbed ‘Your Eyes’.
The album got a lot of rave reviews about its melancholy mood with the lyrics of each single and we can say that Abel thrives so well on pain and it is no different with this new single. ‘Your Eyes’ is about the end of a love but still wanting to fight for it to the last bit of ‘it is really over’.
The Weeknd has been tapping into a lot of indie rock and disco for inspiration with this project both in audio production and the video direction. He is following the use of a series of scenes from one night to bring a connection between each single and this gives a movie and holistic feel to the album.
‘Your Eyes’ video picks up from the ‘After Hours’ video to take us through haunting his love interest in the video when she is trying to live. It ends with her really putting an end to the ‘Love’ by literally cutting off The Weeknd to enjoy the much freedom that comes with that.
