Celebrated Kenyan boy-band Sauti Sol has cancelled its upcoming UK tour over the deadly corona virus that has left thousands dead.

The group was set to kick-off their tour of the United Kingdom on 28 March 2020, with a show in London but the same has been cancelled.

Britain is one of the most affected countries by the virus, with reports indicating that the government is considering a partial lockdown on London, to minimize spread of the virus.

In view of the above, Sauti Sol decided to postpone the concert until the virus is dealt with, adding that all purchased tickets will remain valid.

“It is with a heavy heart that we have to postpone our upcoming UK tour date due to the Coronavirus crisis. We pray that everyone stays safe during this unprecedented time. We are working closely with our team to reschedule these dates as soon as appropriate.

“Please note that all tickets purchased will remain valid for the new dates when announced. Follow our socials for more information in the coming weeks,” Sauti Sol posted on Instagram.

The tour had been well publicized, and tickets for the London show were totally sold out after three days.

Meanwhile, the music industry locally and abroad has been affected by the virus with several artistes being forced to cancel their shows.
