The number of people being killed in road accidents caused by drunk drivers is rising fast and Ugandan artist, Veronica Lugya alias Vinka, is here to remind us that it is okay to have fun and party, just don't drink and drive!

On Monday evening, the Swangz Avenue diva unveiled her new song, ‘Red Card’ that carries the don’t-drink-and-drive message to her fans as they partied at Fame Lounge, Kampala.

"Life is good but at the same time, we can lose it. We know friends who have left us. When you top up your bottle, do not drink and drive," read one of the lines in the song.

The colourful video was shot and directed by Hillary Jen who gave it a club setting.

Vinka's song is part of her role as a brand ambassador for the Red Card campaign.

Running for the last seven years plus, the Red Card campaign is an initiative by Uganda Breweries Limited to inform, sensitize and engage consumers about the dangers of alcohol misuse.

Speaking during the premier, UBL Public Policy and Sustainability Manager David Onyango said Uganda Breweries chose to use music to deliver the responsible drinking message, and reach consumers in their favorite hangout spots where the consumption happens.
