Rayvanny Demonstrates COVID-19 Precautionary Measures in 'Corona' Video

Renowned Tanzanian musician Rayvanny has released the video to his 'Corona' hit featuring President John Pombe Magufuli.

"Corona' is all about educating the public about the raging Corona virus that has infected nearly 200,000 people globally.

In the video, Rayvanny popularly known as Vanny Boy demonstrates basic precautionary measures of keeping the infection at bay.

The Wasafi artist has featured school-going children and the general public in spreading the Corona virus sensitization message.

Rayvanny is seen wearing a face mask and gloves alongside other models in the video, where he urges the public to wash hands and visit hospitals once they feel unwell. 

… Osha mikono, epuka mikusanyiko isiyo ya lazima, na uonapo dalili mapema waii hospitali," the song’s lyrics read in part.

President Magufuli is also featured in the video released under the Wasafi brand. Magufuli’s feature come from an excerpt from a past speech on Corona virus.

The President was addressing the public on Tanzania’s preparedness to handle the virus.

By press time, the video had amassed over 100, 000 views in just 7 hours.

The song was released after Tanzania confirmed its first case of Coron avirus early this week.

Rayvanny joins a list of musicians who are supporting different governments in sensitizing the public on the dangers of the deadly virus.

In Kenya, gospel musician Jimmy Gait also released a song urging the public to observe precautionary measures to keep the virus at bay.
