Fast rising Kenyan DJ VDJ Jones has released a new song dubbed ‘Riba’ featuring two top Nigerian artistes, and a number of local gengetone musicians
In the new release, VDJ Jones has worked with DJ Kaywise and Nifty Boi from Nigeria, and Odi wa Muranga from Boondocks Gang, Nelly the Goon from Ochungulo Family, The Only Delo, and BreederLW.
‘Riba’ is the first international gengetone collabo, an indication that the genre is not only loved in Kenya but also across the continent.
The song has amazing beats, and great dance moves that will surely set it out as a club banger.
The talent and lyrical prowess showcased by the several artistes involved in ‘Riba’ is on another level, with each participant giving his A game.
Though the lyrics are coded in sheng, listening to the song, you get the feeling to rise up and shake your body a little bit.
Barely an hour after it premiered, the song has elicited a lot of reactions online, with many appreciating the talent showcased, and high quality production by Mavo on the Beat, and Jijo Drumbeats who worked on the audio and video respectively.
