Whozu teams up with Director Shaibu for hot new video 'Buku/remix'

Africans will have a good time anywhere and even in the studio, the artists will jump on a beat and have fun with it to make such cool music. That is the exact feeling you get listening to the new single titled ‘Buku//remix’ by Whozu and Director Shaibu.
‘Buku’ is really a feel good song and especially because it is backed by the Coastal drums with a bit more bass and the chakacha progressions; makes it more fitting from Tanzanian artists. There is not much going on with the lyrics; again with the chakacha progression where there are a lot of one liners and repetition.
The video is directed in the way that it continues to explore the chakacha vibe in the streets; women in deras and showing off their dancing skills; a reminder that twerking classes are a cultural rite of passage for girls in the Coast. This minimalistic yet vibrant video is a real follow through to the audio; it is shot in the streets and the crew seems like anyone who cares to be on it.
