Stonebwoy gave us a strong album some months back dubbed ‘Anloga Junction’ and he has been releasing singles from the album one video after the other. He has now released the single ‘African Party’ and the video is pure fire.

To begin with, the song is heavily rooted in dancehall vibes and he channels a lot of Buju even in the arrangement of his flow. Now the video is a fusion of these dancehall vibes and the Ghanaian party scene, not leaving anybody out.

The video is a lot of colour, not from the props or the lighting but simply from the Ghanaians love for prints and colourful kinte; which is what everyone in the party is in. The video is set in a house party from the simple phone-call to filling the house with people who are out for a good time. And like in every African party; there are women gossiping, there are girls trying to balance between being respectful and having a good time and there are men who are really just there for it all with their wives keeping an eye on them. Stonebwoy and crew represent Ghana well with their signature Jollof rice and the woman who packs some for hereself.

There is a lot of dancing in the video, again a fusion of Ghanaian hype and the dancehall hype. Catch a vibe with Stonebwoy on ‘African Party’.
