Demi Lovato had had a rough 2018 ad 2019 she took time off to recover and love herself and this 2020, she has been giving is her self-affirmations with every song she releases. She has released her second song after the long hiatus dubbed ‘I Love Me’.

‘I Love Me’ is a song questioning why self-love is not that easy to reach and tap into for anyone whereas it is easy to keep tapping into the external talk on how we should love ourselves.

Demi takes a very self-deprecating persona with this song through its lyrics. She takes us through different emotions with them from being zen, being fierce, being tough on ourselves to her life experiences right before hospitalization; her almost marriage, falling in love, her OD incident and the internet trolls being on her back.

The video took the direction of a flash mob in a subtle way with a clear depiction of the incidences aforementioned taking place in the background. She stays the centre of attention with her red lip and red coat as the only commanding shades in the video with everything else taking earthy tones.

If at all you might be struggling with self love affirmations, Demi Lovato is covering that with ‘I Love Me’, catch a vibe.
