Jhene Aiko released her Chilombo album track list yesterday and she has now released the 4th single off the album featuring Miguel and Future; dubbed ‘Happiness Over Everything (H.O.E)’.

H.O.E is about going for what you want, in this case the person you want, regardless of whether you are a woman or a man and not have to worry about what they think about your aggressiveness because, ‘Happiness Over Everything’.

The song follows with Jhene’s usual sound of her constantly being over the beat but still being very melodious about it and it only catches you off-guard that you actually can’t hear the beat; this kind of disjointed feel is what gives Jhene some unique vibe to her music in a sense that you always feel like she is freestyling. This vibe also makes it easy for Future to marry his mumble style of rap over the beat too and Miguel and Jhene’s voices were practically built to be heard together, they are that good and in sync.

The video is set in a house-party with Jhene and friends and a couple of dancers who have fire with them and Hawaiian costumes belly dancing. It takes on very earthy tones and not in a retro way but more like we are all glowing in this video. It is a one scene video with only Jhene getting in an extra scene away from the party.

I don’t know how y’all are shooting your shot this weekend but, ‘Happiness Over Everything’ is the way to go.
