Mdundo Artist Support Launches a Free Photo Shoot Project Dubbed 'Brand Through a Lense' for Mdundo Artists.

Mdundo Artist Support has rolled out it’s March 2020 project dubbed ‘Brand Through a Lense’. The first offline project of 2020 offers artists a free photo shoot from Mdundo. This follows an educational series on Branding and Marketing. Since most consumers of music might not have the chance to meet their artists in person, a good visual digital presentation is imperative.

‘We figured if we asked artists to share their EPK for marketing purposes, yet one of the things we put emphasis on is high quality photos; we might as well try and ensure we give them the opportunity to have good photos. They can later use these photos for their personal use too.’ expresses Christine Kiplagat, Artist Support Manager at Mdundo.

Doors open on 10th March, 2020. Artists are welcome to walk in for their photos  throughout the month of March. Applications are made through Brand Through a Lense Booking and terms and policies will be communicated. Artists should be active Mdundo users.

Artist Support at Mdundo entails monthly themes that equips rising artists with information and accessories to brand, market and earn from their music. Artists on mdundo have access to benefits like free marketing and first consideration for music related opportunities.

The past year has focused on artist branding and this was cupped with a successful Artists Mixer. This took place in August, 2019 and it brought together key industry players who discussed with artists, how to brand and market their art.

There have been more projects organised by Mdundo Artists Support like the Mdundo Next Level in collaboration with Kompakt Records. This project saw three lucky artists bag free studio time for an entire project including marketing resources from Mdundo.

Artists have expressed a lot of appreciation for the initiative to propel younger artists into the spotlight. The best response was received from the Money Matters project that gave insight on how artists could raise money from side hustles especially to fund their dreams in music.

Mdundo continues to work closely with artists and other industry players to provide the best atmosphere for the growth in music in Kenya. Music is key and that’s why Mdundo cares and loves you.
