Rema is out here trying to secure all the African girls in his corner with his new single and video dubbed ‘Beamer (Bad Boys)’ featuring Rvssian and we are not mad.
Beamer is Rema professing his readiness in taking care of his lady; in essence an appreciation anthem in this way for the African woman.
The audio is a bop, a little less alternative than what we are used to from Rema. It sounds like a good fusion of Afrobeat and the red rat kind of dancehall beat; the Rvssian influence courtesy of him being a Jamaican producer. He lays down less vocal runs on it too than what we are used to getting from him; it is more of a rap/sung kind of run for him.
The video, as the title states, has a lot of car showing in it. He is living his best and fast life in this song. Rvssian runs the hook with vocals picked from another artist and in the video it is visualized as a selection of women Rema is on phone with. The video uses a lot of neutral, earthy colours and natural light.
This will definitely blow up both for the afrobeat market and the dancehall market. Catch a vibe with Rema and Rvssian.
