Reuben Kigame is without doubt one of the most versatile gospel artists in Kenya. This continues to be so in his latest single ‘Lipo Tumaini’ together with his band ‘The Sifa Voices’ featuring Jemimah Thiong’o and Princess Faridah.
‘Lipo Tumaini’ as the name suggests is a song to give hope where none seems to exist.
The instrumentation is very chakacha to its core. Reuben has then incorporated the elements of a praise song to infuse the African dance sound and chakacha to create this masterpiece.

The video mirrors this chakacha vibe well as it is shot in Mombasa. Everyone in the video marries into the culture very well, Reuben even takes it to another level by wearing a Kanzu. The Sifa Voices band takes time to learn the simple taarabu moves and incorporate that in the video.
