Video Review: Ruth Matete in her new awe inspiring, Nakupenda

Former Tusker project fame winner Ruth Matete, elbows through all the rumors and negative images that have been projected of late with a brand new song, “Nakupenda”!
The gospel singer just released the visuals to the song and my oh my! The video is simply captivating! A product of Spotlight media, and directed by Eric Omba, Ruth graces a new look, with maroon ragged, short hair. Which I suppose is an imagery of her transition through time.
“Naskia kichwa, tumbo na mgongo, naskia baridi, nikama nachizi kweli sijielewi…chakula sili maji sinywi kweli kweli ni mapenzi” she sings in the introduction.
Will it be wrong to say I could sing through the first verse only after the second listening. Guilty as charged!
I have to throw a say she clearly knew what she was doing hence knew who to work with. I love it, I hope you do to!
