Demi Lovato announced last week that she will be taking to stage at the Grammys for the first time in close to two years. She later into the week revealed that she would be performing an unreleased single titled ‘anyone’. A couple of hours before the Grammys, she released the single on her YouTube.

‘Anyone’ is the most powerful ballad Demi has gifted us with thus far, that is for sure. The single, as she also explained was written and recorded right before her OD. And even though she did not understand it then, you can feel that it was a cry for help through many questions in the song; her faith, her life, her drug use and everything entwined in that.

The almost acoustic ballad, with just the piano was left raw; no touch-ups on her vocals and you can hear and feel every emotion she carried into the studio courtesy of the song and her life at the time.

She also gave a powerful and emotional performance of the song at the Staples Center that got everyone there on their feet.

It has been a long almost two years for Demi and we cannot wait to hear more from her.
