GHANA: Banger: Samini features Shatta Wale in Epic single 'Celebration' (WATCH)

Many Ghanaian music lovers, especially fans of both dancehall artistes Shatta Wale and Samini did not see the latest update coming. Trust Shatta Wale to distort the social media trends.
After ‘beefing’ for several years that even resulted in severe brawls among their respective fans, Samini and Shatta Wale have finally collaborated on a song. This is the first time the two artistes may be doing such a thing.
Samini, who thinks music lovers have been itching to see him and Shatta Wale work on a record announced the much-anticipated song titled, ‘Celebration’ on Twitter.
“Careful what you wish for; you just might not be as ready #HGF. #SM @shattawalegh weh yu seh ??? Pah pah pah pah,” Samini tweeted.
The two musicians have over the years had tension between them with each of them claiming to be king of the genre. Both artistes with huge fan base recorded songs targeted at each other while highlighting why they are better than the other.

In 2016, Shatta Wale and Samini smoked the peace pipe after the former retweeted the latter’s birthday message to him, triggering a chain reaction of reconciliation tweets between them.
After that, the two made a historic comeback when they performed together at Samini’s Saminifest.
“I will sing along with him. He surprised me. He apologised to me. Showing up on set [Saminifest], that was a surprise. He did make a mark and it helped the street calm down. It was an election year. We wanted to maintain power. We needed a unified system. He really did great…I think he deserves my response. He knocked well. I don’t think anyone deserves my response now if they bring beef,” Samini said.
Although it was exciting for many to see the two together, they did not think they would ever work on a single together. Because of this, social media has been buzzing with reactions and several comments over the song which was produced by Brainy Beatz.
It is also a good time for Samini as his annual Saminifest will eb held today, December 21, in Accra.
