Celebrated Ghanaian rapper M.anifest has refuted widely accepted notions that without ‘beefs’ in the entertainment industry, things will be boring, especially in Ghana. M.anifest is says, ‘Healthy competition is good but beefs are unnecessary.
“It’s a lie” that the lack of beefs makes the industry boring,” M.anifest stated on Class Fm in Accra.
“Competition doesn’t require people going against each other literally, it can also be people comparing things. I think people love the idea of competition; as human beings [we pay] attention to competition, that’s why we love sports but it doesn’t have to be boxing, sometimes it’s like athletics, you don’t push anybody out of their tracks, you run your fastest and your best and people judge’’.
Unfortunately, in music, the finish line is an imaginary one… I don’t think you need to go beef but as for competition, nobody should be afraid of it,” he added.
M.anifest himself has been involved in two major beefs were those between himself and fellow rapper Sarkodie. Both artistes, have time and again an tried to prove superiority over the other.
In other news ,M.anifest is his hosting his annual “Manifestivities” at the Bukom Arenain Accra on 22 December 2019.
He is also promoting his new album titled “The Gamble”, which already has two hit songs – Tomorrow, featuring Burna Boy and Big mad featuring Simi.
