Ghana’s Grandpapa, Reggie Rockstone, has made it clear once again that he is not the reason why Promzy left the VIP musical group.
Reginald Yaw Asante Ossei popularly known as Reggie Rockstone joined VIP in 2003. Later the group rebranded TO VVIP.The VIP music group was made up of Joseph Nana Ofori (Prodigal), Abdul Hamid Ibrahim (Lazzy/ Zeal), and Emmanuel Ababio (Promzy)
After this move, there were many speculations that Promzy’s move may have been a result of Reggie Rockstone becoming a part of the VIP family. In an interview with Kisa Gbekle, Reggie stated that Promzy left VIP to release a single with Nigerian artist Terry G.
Reggie Rockstone has been considered as the Godfather of hiplife music in Ghana as he pioneered the Hiplife art form and has played an important role in the development of this uniquely African genre in Ghana.
