GHANA: Top 10 trending songs for Christmas in Ghana

by Eugene Brown Agyei

The year 2019 has been fairly great for musicians in Ghana. They have made lots hits, had international collaborations, performed on global stages, and above all, taken over Twitter trends.

You would think they would relax but no, they are still dropping hits even to this last part of the year. If you happen to find yourself in Ghana this Christmas, these are some of the top 10 songs that you are likely to hear.

In short, these songs have taken over the airwaves. See the list below and mind you, they are not in any particular order:

1. Sika – Adina
2. M'aseda kese – Opiesie Esther (Gospel)
3. Melisa – Shatta Wale
4. Saara – Sarkodie ft Efya
5. Things fall apart – Kofi Kinaata
6. Zanku – Dope Nation
7. Nsenkyerene Nyankopon – Diana Antwi Hamilton (Gospel)
8. Weather – Sista Afia
9. Mmaa – Strongman
10. W’agye me – Obaapa Christy (Gospel)

This list is based on radio and television airplay as well as internet downloads and trends. There are a whole lot of others doing well but this is just our selected ten.
