Celebrated Tanzanian musician Rayvanny has dropped a new song dubbed ‘Naogopa’.

‘Naogopa’ which loosely translates to ‘I’m afraid’, has been used in the song to express Rayvanny’s fears about the journey of love.

He narrates how he had a terrible experience with his ex and is now afraid to get into another relationship, due to fear of the unknown.

“Mapenzi chenga yakikupiga unasurrender, na wengi wakipendwa, wanasahau kuna kutendwa. Unajisifu umempata, kumbe alo mwacha anamfata, anachotaka anakipata wanasema hawara hana talaka.

“Naogopa(naogopa). Naogopa(naogopa) Kwenye safari ya mapenzi mi nisiyasikee. Naogopa(naogopa). Naogopa(naogopa). Naogopa(naogopa). Tena tochi ya mapenzi isinimulike. Nimeyaona bayana. Ndo maana sitaki kukumbuka ya jana, alivyonidanganya, moyo wangu ukapiga danadana,” the song’s lyrics read in part.

A day after it premiered, ‘Naogopa’ is trending at position 9 on YouTube Kenya with over 520,000 views.
