Praised by key tastemakers including Highsnobiety, Red Bull Music, The 405, TMRW Magazine, Complex, as well as a viral appearance on the famed COLORS, with an impressive 400k views, Keynes Woods is back with his latest cut 'Spiritual Healing'. A cathartic song. It's about the release money can give. More than just a “banger”, laced with a haunting piano melody, braggadocio rhymes, dark trap drums and chopped vocals reminiscent of Death Grips, the single is a statement of intent. Featuring verses from Just John & So Loki it firmly places all three artists in the popular consciousness and affirms without a shadow of a doubt that these are three of the most exciting and progressive artists to come out of Canada in a very long time. Keynes Woods is a Toronto based rapper born in Kinshasa, DRC in 1995 where he spent the first eight years of his life before migrating to Ottawa, Ontario Canada. He grew up in a musical household where he found his voice in rap music and began to write his own lyrics at the age of sixteen. He released his first song in 2015 along numerous singles as well as an EP online. Refining his craft he closed out 2016 with the release of Kirikou a clear statement of intent to the rap game, Dream Girl an ethereal melodic number, he kicked off 2017 with the release of Shoot Your Shot and came back with a bang with 2018's THREAT as well as numerous singles throughout the year going into 2019 as he leads up to the release of his first independent project. Mellow, introspective and bathed in honesty his music is made to feel.
