Christmas is one month away but it is never too early to start listening to the Christmas carols. There is no Christmas playlist that does not contain an array of songs by the self-proclaimed ‘Queen of Christmas’, Mariah Carey.
Mariah has been decorating our homes and the malls with her beautiful voice for several years and this year will be the 25th anniversary for her most listened to Christmas jingle ‘All I Want for Christmas is You’. This has brought with it some accolades in the name of the Guinness World Records.
Mariah has entered into the books for three holiday-themed Guinness World Records; highest charting holiday (Christmas/New Year) song on the Hot 100 by a solo artist, most streamed track on Spotify in 24 hours (with over 10.8 million streams last December) and most weeks in the UK singles top 10 chart for a Christmas song.
This will definitely be a merry merry Christmas for Mariah Carey and I bet you all the malls you visit this season and every channel to tune to will be blaring with ‘All I Want for Christmas is You’ and you might be singing along. Anyway, congratulations to Mimi, really, the true Queen of Christmas.
