Renowned Kenyan female rapper Fena Gitu has hit out at her colleagues in the industry, for what she termed as failing to support the local music industry.

In a tweet, Fena expressed her disappointed with Kenyan musician after only a few of them turned out for her album launch, and Elani’s album listening party.

“KENYAN ARTISTS BARELY SHOW UP FOR FELLOW ARTISTS. There were like 4 artists (one who is my best friend so it doesn't count) at my listening party, and a handful last night @elanimuziki's listening party. Na tunataka fans watusupport. Anyway, album ni ya mafans, ama?” she posed.

Reacting to the post, celebrated Kenyan gospel musician Juliani said he agrees with Fena’s sentiments, adding that musicians need to go an extra mile and send reminders to their colleagues, when they want them to attend their events.

“I agree with you Fena, kwa sana. Though i learnt that I shouldn't assume people are aware of what i am upto. Pia hao maybe wako caught up kwa world yao so A call, a text, a WhatsApp or an email to alert them might help,” he posted
