Lil Kim the 2019 BET 2019 'I Am HipHop' Award honoree

The BET Hip Hop Awards happened over the weekend and were aired on Tuesday night. Lil Kim aka the Queen B was being honoured and set to receive the ‘I Am Hip Hop’ Award. She has been one of the greatest hip hop artists there have been and to help honour her were Missy Elliot and her daughter, who was in the crowd.
Lil Kim shut down the red carpet into the event with her ever colourful hair and out of this world ensemble as only Kim can. Lil Kim kicked the momentum by taking to stage to perform some of her greatest hits with a number of her friends such as Junior M.A.F.I.A and Musiq Soulchild. She took time within her set to honour Biggie Smalls who she also mentioned in her speech to just thank for his contribution in her career.
In her acceptance speech she thanked everyone who had ever collaborated with her and all the people in her team. She explained her beef with the award show for never awarding her but still was grateful that she had finally gotten to a point where she is now recognized as an icon.
We all love the Queen B and Hip Hop is so much better with Lil Kim in the industry.
