Trouble of being the always featured artist

All through some music careers of some artists, one may not quite point out anything prolific from them. This might not necessarily because of them not being good artists but courtesy of them being something close to being fully fledged collaborators. This in many ways/cases works against some people.
There is the trouble of having the audience not come to experience an artist’s greatness and instead just remember them from what they might have brought to a project. Case in point, someone like M.anifest, a rapper from Ghana almost has no single by himself. He is a really great rapper and even with his latest collaboration with Burna Boy, we get to listen to him flow beautifully in his verse. His almost lack of solo projects lets him become forgettable when great rappers in Ghana are mentioned because we are yet to really experience his artistry.
Pain recently won the masked singer competition because he has pipes for real. He however has been one of those artists who no one deeply cares to know about because he is featured in one too many songs. He has also admitted to having people doubt about his capability to hold a show alone because he collaborated too much at the beginning of his career and so no one looked into his solo projects. In his case, fame and shows alone came at the price of him working 20 times harder to be an artist in his own right.
