Celebrated Kenyan boy band  Sauti Sol, are back and fully reloaded on Nandy’s latest release dubbed‘ Kiza Kinene’. A little rumour made rounds some time back about Sauti Sol retiring from music. It comes as a relief to everyone that it was just that, a rumour.

The ‘Ninogeshe’ hit sensation bagged the 2017 Best Female Artist in East Africa  at the All Africa Music Awards . She has also worked alongside renowned Kenyan artist Willy Paul on the hits ‘Njiwa' and ‘Hallelujah.’

‘Kiza Kinene' is a beauty of a song. We get to witness  Nandy’s amazingly soulful vocals. She carries the song for about a minute and a half before Bien takes over with a powerful verse. Delvin smoothly makes an incision into the song and Chimano takes the finish, showing off vocal control switching lows and highs effortlessly. The song is an irresistible piece of art.  Nandy drowns us in a Bongo wave while Sauti Sol keep the tide high. ‘Kiza Kinene' loosely translates to ‘Enormous Darkness'. The song has been penned carefully to tell the story of a break up and heartbreak.Full of heart warming verses, it will have you replaying this tune over and over.

The visuals are an ecstatic pomp of colour and energy. The set up sits in a beautiful mansion and scenes switch between Nandy, Sauti Sol and the soulful contemporary dance duo.  The dance distinctively expresses the story told in the lyrics.
