LIZZO JOINS THE LIST OF BLACK WOMEN WITH NO. 1 SINGLES ON BILLBOARD HOT 100

Lizzo has joined the list of the few black women with number one singles on the Billboard Hot 100 in this decade. She joins Beyonce, Rihanna, Janelle Monae and Cardi B as the only women on this list.. This is courtesy of her hit single Truth Hurts.

This comes two years after the release of the song Truth Hurts. The 2017 released single only gained momentum after Lizzo’s album was noticed by getting nominations and she got to perform on the BET stage this year. Her hot performance got the attention of the likes of Rihanna and everyone has been using this as their anthem.

Lizzo is still winning and she celebrates this win by being on the cover of ELLE magazine, USA. She also got a lot of attention over the weekend by Beyonce as she was performing at the Made in America concert.

She is still celebrating her many wins and we are here for all these wins for the black women and the female rappers in the hip-hop industry and especially for Lizzo.
