Sauti Sol stopped by Lil Ommy’s show, The Playlist in Tanzania. They talked things from music, social media, the music industry and relations in the industry.
They spoke of their possible new album after their Essence Festival performance. They have pre-empted the possibility of very high-profile collaborations within and without Kenya. They spoke on missing out on Beyonce’s Lion King album and urged artists in East Africa to push for their sound to be visible worldwide. They also spoke on the mismanagement of the music board in Kenya and how that is a disappointment for artists in Kenya. They mentioned about growing Kenyan artists through their Sol generation and maybe expanding it to other countries once they have exhausted Kenya.
