A$AP Rocky with a comedic '' Babushka Boi''

Babushka” is Russian for “grandmother” or “elderly woman,” and it’s also a type of Russian headscarf tied under the chin, traditionally worn by women from Eastern Europe. In November 2018, A$AP Rocky appeared at the LACMA Art+Film Gala in Los Angeles, wearing a $495 Gucci babushka. A$AP’s new ‘Babushka Boi' was inspired by a cut Rocky got on his face. He hid the scar by wearing the Babushka. In the lyrics he touches on the scar, referencing the classic 1983 gangster film Scarface.
The video of the song sees, A$AP Ferg , Schoolboy Q, A$AP Nast and Kamil Abbas cast as Depression era gangsters, wearing facial prosthetics making the video cartoonish quality. The villains, the cops are dressed up as pigs. Rocky and the gang flee from the oinking feds after pulling off a heist, and their Looney Toons car chase ends in an old fashioned shoot-out. The video Directed by Nadia Lee Cohen was very entertaining and hilarious.
The song was scheduled to drop sooner but Rocky’s prior detainment in Sweden caused complications. Rocky seems to be in the clear with the law suits after winning the case in court with no current appeals.
