Queen ‘Ursula’ Latifah

A couple of months ago, Disney named Halle Bailey as the little mermaid in the remake of Disney’s show, The Little Mermaid. Since then, black twitter has been naming a lot of people they thought fit to play Ursula, the other iconic character in the fictional film. Lizzo had become a favourite since she let out that video of herself singing covered in blue.

Late last week, Melissa McCarthy had let out her interest to play Ursula and people thought that she had actually been cast for the role. It has however been now confirmed that Queen Latifah will play Ursula. We all know Queen Latifah through her rap career and many more people know her through her acting career. In here she might be belting tunes and we are not even ready for her pipes in this remake.

Black twitter is happy and so is the black community at large.
