Samidoh, Joyce Wa Mamaa set for Mugithi night in UK

2019 has been a good year for Gikuyu vernacular musicians Samidoh and Joyce Wa Mamaa going by the huge airplay the duo have been getting in the local media.

Although established as solo artists, the young musicians decided to team up about four months ago and recorded a collabo 'Wendo Wi Cama' (Love Is Sweet) which became an instant success.

The song was uploaded on the largest video sharing platform, YouTube, on May 17, 2019 where it trended at number one for a week in the East Africa category.

So far, the vernacular romance song has been watched by over 1.8 million people according to combined statistics from the two artists' YouTube channels.

It is probably due to this success and satisfaction that they have conquered the local market. Samidoh and Joyce Wa Mamaa have decided to showcase their talents to the world.
