Chronixx Gives Thanks To The Almighty On “Jah Is There”

By Ian Jacob

James McNaughton, popularly known as Chronixx is out with a new tune. To mark 5year anniversary in music, Chronixx re-issued his landmark album “Dread&Terrible” revised “deluxe edition” from which he has blessed with a new unheard of song “Jah is there” . The song is a perfect tribute to Spanish Town, where chronixx grew up and the rest of the world.  The word “Jah” is Rastafarian for God so the song means “God is there” . The song is all about giving thanks to God with quotable lyrics like “Jah is always by my side, though sometimes I lose my way, Jah said you will be found one day” . The video of the song was shot in Kampala, Uganda and directed by Ivor.

Reggae is hardly the consumable entity it was 30years ago but Chronixx himself to the rule. The reggae artist broke out internationally in 2014 after performing on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” in 2014. Since then it’s been uphill for the reggae artist. Jah is there for Chronixx.
