Top Tanzanian musician Diamond Platnumz has finally cleared the air on why Harmonize failed to be included in this year’s Wasafi Festival.
Addressing the media on Friday, Diamond who is the CEO of Wasafi Classic Baby (WCB) record label noted that Harmonize, who is one of the artistes under the label, was excluded from the festival as he was engaged elsewhere.
According to Diamond, Harmonize had a show in Dar es Salaam, but it was cancelled at the last minute.
“Show hii ya leo Harmonize hatukua naye, alitakiwa awe na show Dar es Salaam lakini wakati wa mwisho watu wakaja sshow ikawa cancelled dakika za mwisho, so kama mtu hajaandaliwa kuja kwa show haezi kuja tu lazima awe amejindaa,” he said.
The Wasafi Festival kicked off on Friday at Muleba with performances from top artistes including; Lava Lava, Mbosso, Queen Darleen, Diamond among others.
Harmonize’s absence from the festival raised debate online with some people claiming that he was on the verge of leaving Diamond’s record label.
