Otile Brown, Ethic Collabo Making a kill Despite Criticism

By Rodgers Omondi

Musician Otile Brown’s latest song Dala Dala featuring Kenyan boy band Ethic is performing well despite criticism from a section of Kenyans.

The song released on Monday already has over 300,000 views on YouTube and is trending at number 2 in Kenya.

Shortly after being released, a section of Kenyans trashed the song claiming that it did not meet their expectation.

A number of fans questioned why some members of Ethic did not have a role in the song. Only two members of the group; Swat and Seska sang in the song with the other two members ; Zilla and Rekles missing in action.

“I love Ethic but I think their new song with Otile Brown is trash! Pure trash!! Where is Rekles!?!?! Otile spent too much time before Swat came through, dominated the song..Delivered trash!! Ethic didn't deliver on this!! Call a spade a spade!! Let Rekles do the hook!!” Xtian Dela tweeted after the song’s release.

It is not clear why the other members of Ethic were not involved in the song, as the group is yet to release a statement on the same.

However, so far, the song has proved critics wrong as it is performing way better than other jams released by top musicians in the country over the same period.
