Beyonce Releases the First New Song from “The Lion King”

By Ian Jacob

Keep calm and don’t scream but Beyonce is out with a new stunning track “Spirit”. The song is the first installment of “The Lion King:The Gift” album  that Bey is producing. What’s catches our eye or in this case ear, is the Swahili verse introducing the song. “Uishi kwa muda mrefu Mfalme” which translates to “Long live the King” .

Africans couldn’t be prouder to hear one of their native languages on a Beyonce’s track. Africans around the world have been tweeting about the verse and how it makes them feel proud and happy for the recognition. This song has a similar viral impression to “The Black panther film” that united African’s to celebrate their culture. It was literally “Wakanda forever” all year.

Back to Queen Bey, “Spirit” is super motivational with the choir backing Bey as she sings inspiring quotes like “When you’re trembling, that’s when the magic happens”. She spreads positive vibes through out the song to inspire the hopless and the broken. “Spirit” is absolutely marvelous.
