Yemi Alade Sets New Record in Africa

Nigerian musician Yemi Alade has set a new record in Africa, after she became the first female entertainer to acquire over one million subscribers on YouTube.
Yemi’s Youtube channel is the most followed among female entertainers in the continent.
In an Instagram post, Yemi thanked her fans and her team for making her what she is.
“1st female Entertainer in #Africa to have over #1MILLIONsubscribers on @YouTube . God is the GREATEST, started this journey six years ago. Thanks to everyone streaming / watching my videos and music. God bless us all,” she posted.
Yemi is a renowned musician in the continent and has collaborated with a number of renowned artists including Kenya’s Sauti Sol group.
The growth of her YouTube channel can be linked to the top quality songs she produces and uploads online.
Last month, she released ‘Bounce’, which has managed to get over 500,000 views and over 900 comments on YouTube just two weeks after it’s official release.
Some of her top songs include; Africa featuring Sauti Sol, Johnny, Na Gode, and Bum Bum.
