Micheal Brun is a Haitian Dj, record producer and medical student. His known for blending EDM genres such as progressive house with native Haitian styles such as Kompa and Rara. From sitting through a med school lecture to playing at Miami’s Ultra Music Festival the lad grew his career. Now the EDM genius has dropped his debut album ‘Local'.
The 9 track album has some very big names featuring. Mr Eazi pops up for two tracks on the album. ‘Akwaaba Awiti' which is a remix of Eazi’s 2018 hit ‘Akwaaba' with a dash of that tropical Haitian flavor. The track also features Guiltybeatz' big tune. Mr Eazi drowns ‘Pa Pale' with his mellow summer time vibe while Baky and Kanis bring the energy to the song making a harmonious sound. African’s really have a foothold on this album as Nigerian artist Adenkule Gold features on the guitar beat infused ‘Eda' alongside Belo. The album is a work of art and everybody wants a piece as Major Lazor refuses to be left out in creating this marvelous beat filled album. Micheal Brun and Major Lazor flex their beat mastery with Kompa and Electro beats while Steves J Bryan and Tony mix sync in their vocals rather comfortably in ‘Kale'. The album is a mosaic of different genres of music Reggae, Konpa, Electro and Progressive house to make the different sound that is ‘Lokal'
Through ‘Local' and his music, Micheal wants to put Haiti on the map and paint a positive picture for his homeland. The album is a beautiful party and summer time vibe. The chill mood it brings just gets under your skin as you smoothly transition from party songs to relaxing songs .
