Mary J. Blige Scoops BET Lifetime Achievement Award

Mary J. Blige was this year’s recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award, as presented by BET. The award show was held last night and was hosted by actress, Regina Hall.

Diddy introduced Mary J. to the stage with a video. Mary performed an array of her singles throughout her career for close to 20 minutes. She brought out Lil Kim and Method man. She was being celebrated for being able to traverse RnB and Hip-Hop almost seamlessly.

Rihanna then took to the stage to present the award to Mary. Rihanna’s speech listed Mary’s different achievements in both her music career and acting career. She gave reasons on how and why we all have loved Mary throughout the years.

Mary received her award and thanked everyone from her mother, the family, different people in the industry and BET for the award.
