Mercy Masika , Kenyan gospel artist has been appointed UNHCR Good Will ambassador. The ‘He never lie’ artist served as UNHCR’s high profile supporter prior to her appointment. She put her influence and publicity to good use by championing Luquluqu campaign aimed at changing refugee lives for the better.
The gospel artist believes she has found her calling, to help whoever she can. “It’s a real honour to be appointed Goodwill ambassador, thank you UNHCR for this honour .I believe this role is given to us together to represent our own , especially those that we are called to, the vulnerable, persecuted and everyone forced to flee, did you know Jesus was a refugee?” said Masika on her appointment.
Her fans are proud as a whole and wish her the best of luck but still hope she does not forget her music career. The new ambassador is quite the talent and is well known for hits like ‘Mwema’ and her most recent track ‘Redeemed’ with Hellen Muthoni. We all wish Mercy best of luck on her new endeavour.
