Boutross Munene Introducing New Kenyan Sound 'Shrap'

By Ian Jacob

There is a new sound in Nairobi and it is called Shrap . Shrap is a form of the Kenya version of Trap music. Boutross Munene is the leader of the new school with this new diverse form of music. The upcoming artist is signed and Vice President to ADF music.

The Kenyan rapper has really made some big strides in his career. He has featured in Famous Kenyan International Rapper , Octopizzo’s ‘Tergat gang’ and recently dropped a serious banger ‘Safi’ featuring Asum Garvey which has made the rapper a force to reckon with, as he finesses the beat with some really hardcore lyrics.

The man gets new fans everyday streaming and bopping to the new vibe that is Shrap. The rapper is clearly not a ‘one hit wonder’. It’s been a good year for ‘Bouti’ as he recently dropped the music video for the internet frenzy ‘Wrong’ which is knocking doors down and is attracting all sorts of attention.

Believe it or not but its pure facts , word around is, he has relation ties with the Famaous international artist, Mr Eazi. In one of the lyrics of ‘Wrong’ he says ‘‘Mbona ustress ,mimi hubonga na don’’ which translates to ‘‘Why stress , I talk to the don’’ . In this statement ‘don’ refers to Mr Eazi . The Nigerian artist then leaves a comment on youtube on Wrong’s video praising boutross. ‘I love this,’said Mr Eazi.

Boutross is one to watch . The Shrap ‘God’ is clearly on a bona-fide run and is a major activist for the ‘play kenyan music’ most local artist support.
