]Maleek Berry , British-Nigerian record producer and recording artist is set to bring the house down on 30th June atr the Diamond Plaza 2 grounds in parklands. Not to dull the shine on Maleek Berry or Hype entertainment but the choice of venue seems very unconventional and this has been something that has been happening to past events that have already happened in the country.
Patoranking was in the capital city on the 31st, May for the Choma Na Ngoma Festival, which was a major success for the Nigerian Dance hall artist but not fair to the fans who flooded KICC that day. The first issue of worry is parking space as parking outside the building property might end up being hazardous with Nairobi thieves larking about in town. Additionally finding space at the venue to maybe sit down and enjoy the concert without people stepping on your fresh new shoes as the space is small and flooded with people.
Another unorthodox venue was this month’s thrift social, where IADDB, British singer, set the Go Down arts centre a blaze. The concert was spectacular but having an event in industrial area seems a tad inconvenient to fans .First of all finding the place itself and the venue itself was also so small .People could only enjoy the concert on their for long hours as the whole Go Down grounds is cabro and maybe park their cars outside.
What happened to using the massive large fields offered in Nairobi. Ngong race course ,Uhuru gardens, Carnival and Arboretum all seem like ideal grounds to dance the night away for event goers because of the convenience of the locations and the massive tracts of land to not worry about parking spots and chilled environments to dance and enjoy the night without knocking on each other because of congestion.
This shouldn’t discourage fans from going for Maleek Berry, the artist line up is hands down ‘lit'.Solgeneration ,Bensol ,Nviiri and ethic will be performing courtesy of Hype entertainment, tickets are now available on ticket sasa.com
